Tall tales and laughter echoed across the greens, sealing another unforgettable day of camaraderie and competition.

Last Saturday - Sunday, April 5-6, ninety-two San Vicente Men's Golf Club members gathered for the Member-Member Golf Tournament. On Sunday, the fame format was a Split Tee Start where players tee off simultaneously from the first and tenth holes, ensuring a lively pace and plenty of excitement throughout the day.

On Sunday, after a roller-coaster round on the green, members were treated to a well-earned lunch. A shady tent provided a cool, relaxing spot to rest while the final scores were being tabulated, and our San Vicente Golf Tournament Director, Fred Arcaina, was busy preparing the meal with the help of volunteer Toni Munsterman, wielding her trusty spatula. They served juicy cheeseburgers grilled to perfection, along with potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, and a refreshing cold beer or beverage.

The day was filled with memorable moments captured on the course. One highlight featured Greg Coleman sinking a crucial putt as Joe Caruso, Mike Murphy, and Doug Linklater watched intently. It was especially heartwarming to see several father-and-son combos out on the course, including Walt and Hunter Pietila and Ryan and Bruce Roland, which added an extra layer of fellowship.

But the tournament's real highlight came with the announcement of the big winners. In a thrilling finish, AJ White and Sal Kayed emerged as the 1st Gross winners!

Members of the San Vicente Men's Golf Club came together for a day of great golf, good food, and even better company. Alongside the competitive spirit, the event was filled with laughter, storytelling, and a strong sense of camaraderie, creating lasting memories on the green.
