CANDIDATES
Seven (7) candidates are running for three (3) positions on the Board of Directors, to be decided by election on April 20, 2024. One (1) position is for a three-year term, one (1) position is for a two-year term and one (1) position is for a one-year term.
The candidates are (in alphabetical order): Jay Carpenter, Nicholas Deseno, Vanessa Jerrell, Kathleen Kankelberg, William (Bill) Owens, George Stoba, and Jeffrey Wells. Look in your mailed ballot package for candidate statements. For more election information log into your member portal at www.sdcea.net, go to “Shared Documents,” then “Board of Directors Election 2024.”
SDCEA homeowners can also “write-in” a candidate on their ballot but can cast no more than three votes. Voting for the same candidate more than once is acceptable, with no more than three total votes being cast. Casting more than a total of three votes will disqualify a ballot. Additional nominations may be accepted from the floor if a quorum is met at the Annual Meeting, starting at 6 pm on Saturday, April 20, in The Oaks Grille, 24157 San Vicente Road. If a quorum is not met on April 20, the Annual Meeting will be adjourned to Tuesday, April 23 at 4 pm, and nominations may be accepted from the floor at that time as well.
