2024 SDCEA Accomplishments

January

All security cameras were upgraded.

The restaurant and bar rolled out the new menu.

The Jacuzzi Garden project was completed.

The ‘Ask the GM’ content form and response program was premiered.

The trail challenge course at the IEC was moved to make it usable throughout the winter.

Broken cross-country jumps were fixed, and footing was drug to make the course usable.

February

Over $14,000 in sales were achieved during Valentine’s Day.

The boulder wall at Pickleball was cleared out and the drainage ditch was caulked.

Three new branded ‘Welcome and Rules’ signs were installed for Gunn Stage Pocket Park and Ramona Oaks Park.

A new Rose Arbor Garden was installed at the IEC Rotunda.

Compost was used on the IEC hillside for weed and erosion control.

The 6-week PGA Hope program for military veterans was facilitated.

Basins were created for flood control during rain events at Casey Tibbs.

March

St. Patrick’s Day events were rolled out, selling over 300 pounds of corned beef.

The Ramona Oaks Pool garden area was revamped.

Digital Valley News with blogs was launched on March 8 with interactive features.

Multiple golf and stay packages were introduced, including ‘Golf for 2’ and ‘Stay and Play’.

Luck of the Irish Golf Tournament was successfully executed.

Par Lounge floor replacement and several IEC facility improvements were completed.

Over 200 guests were served at the Easter Brunch.

The resurfacing of San Vicente Resort pool, pool deck, and hot tub wall was completed.

An Energy audit and SBP was conducted.

April

The landscape slope remodel at the Golf Course Cart Path near the Snack Bar was completed.
A new Flail and a new tractor were brought into service.
Survey development and testing were completed, and the survey was fielded at the end of the month.
Digital ads were introduced on monitors in the lobby, and a brand advertisement was developed and launched.
New patio furniture was added to the lodge.
A new garden and grass were installed at the Ramona Oaks Pool.
New gutters were installed at the IEC.
The 2023 Financial Audit was completed.
The resurfacing of the Ramona Oaks Pool was completed.

May

The Fiesta on the Fairways Golf Tournament was successfully executed.
The PGA Junior League seven-week program began.
Hay sheds were installed for the IEC barns.
The erosion at the end of Casey Tibbs Arena 1 was repaired.
The internal Emergency Plan, including facility maps and contact information, was completed and distributed to all staff.
Over 270 guests were served at the Mother’s Day Brunch.

June

The Clubhouse lobby remodel project was completed.
San Vicente Resort's inaugural Pickleball Tournament was successfully executed.
The popular Twilight Golf Thursday 13-week event was launched.
Two patience poles at the IEC were renovated.
Hay sheds were installed at the mare motel, along with two corrals at the IEC.
New phones were installed in all Lodge guestrooms.

July

The Hobbit House was completed.
The Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament was successfully executed on July 5.
Print and digital media for San Vicente Resort were enhanced, including upgraded rooms, new balconies, pool, and racquet sports facilities.
The SDCEA and San Vicente Resort brand were revamped for a stronger identity.
Asphalt repairs were completed in all barns at the IEC and Casey Tibbs.
The conversion to Cox Communications for the telephone platform was successfully completed.
Internet connectivity was upgraded to fiber for Recreation, Aquatics, SDCEA Facilities, Equestrian, Golf Course Operations, and Resort buildings.

August

The premier Food and Beverage Monthly Calendar email was launched.
SDCEA Equestrian was presented at the Ramona Rodeo.
The renovation of the footing at Arena 2 in Casey Tibbs was completed.
The 2024 Safety Fair event was successfully held.
A detailed Reserve Allocation Management Process was implemented.
The first Lodge Open House for homeowners was held to showcase the 2024 upgrades to the guest rooms.

September

New plantings were added at the entry sign on San Vicente Road.
The San Vicente Park Grand Opening was successfully executed.
The Ramona Arts, Wine, and Music Festival Wine Barrel was sponsored, securing a record-breaking bid at the auction.
All personal sheds were removed from behind the IEC barns to meet insurance requirements.
The bridge to the mare motel was widened, and a new culvert was installed to meet fire requirements.
Approval was received from the USPTO for trademark applications for San Vicente Resort and San Diego Country Estates Association.
Lodge guestroom cleaning was outsourced.
The Sip & Stay package was created and implemented in partnership with local wineries.

October

The Clean & Green Day event was successfully executed on October 19.
The Superintendent’s Revenge Golf Tournament was successfully executed on October 25.
Two first-place awards were won for best pizza and golf course in the Ramona Sentinel's Best of Ramona poll, and the organization was voted a favorite in seven categories.
Lights were installed on the hay sheds at the IEC.
New electrical lines were installed at the mare motel.
The mare motel was graded to allow for proper drainage during rain events.
Preparations for the rainy season were completed at both Equestrian facilities.

November

A new emergency access road was graded from the entrance of the IEC onto the track to allow for easier traffic flow during emergencies.
The first draft of the Risk Management Plan for the Association was completed.
Wiring and access points were added to the San Vicente Resort building to provide better guest Wi-Fi services.
Over 250 guests were served Thanksgiving dinner, and more than 400 pounds of turkey were cooked for all events.
Nineteen bypass plantation shutter patio doors were installed in the Lodge guest rooms.

December

The Toy Story Golf Tournament and Toy Drive were successfully executed on December 2.
The SanVicenteResort.com website was refreshed to enhance SEO.
Blogs on SDCEA.net were categorized, and SEO was improved.
The SDCEA and San Vicente Resort logos were launched with a registered trademark.
Stop signs were installed between barns C and D at the IEC.
Roof renovations were started on the barns at the IEC.
The Recreation Wireless Project for 2025 was completed, allowing for guest wireless access in the Ramona Oaks Pool and ROP Park areas, benefiting children participating in Day Camps and homework time.
Art featuring local musicians was placed in the Par Lounge.
