MAY’S 2008 RECREATION SCHEDULE

All activities take place at the Recreation Center unless other wise indicated. Some classes are only held for a required enrollment. Please pre-register for all classes. Call S.D.C.E. Recreation Department 789-4146

Your Recreation Center offers a before and after school program that runs the duration of the school year with day camps planned to fill in the school holidays. The program runs from 6:30 a.m. until the children leave for school and then from immediately after school until 6:30 p.m. Transportation is provided to and from Barnett and James Dukes elementary schools. With the help of our wonderful counselors your children’s homework will be a breeze. Registration is on a monthly basis.

MORNING CLASS:
EARLY RISER:   6:30-8:00AM   Cost:  $94.50 or $4.50 per morning
Begin your morning with a variety of activities to start your day off right.
                                                                                             
AFTER SCHOOL:
MONDAY: “VIVA MEXICO”
2:15-6:30 PM     COST:  $27.00
Join us as we study traditions of our neighbors south of the border.
TUESDAY: “GARDENING CLUB”
2:15-6:30 PM    COST:  $36.00
In our effort to give something back to the Rec’s natural beauty, we will create some garden décor.
  WEDNESDAY: “FLOWER CRAFTING 101”
1:00-6:30PM     COST:  $36.00    If Wed. only $48.00
May’s flowers in bloom are the inspiration for this days crafting of varieties of the permanent kind, ie. paper.
THURSDAY: “BASEBALL BASICS”
2:30-6:30PM    COST $45.00
Let’s all learn the game of baseball from pitch to home run.
FRIDAY: “DISNEY DAY”
2:30-6:30PM   COST $45.00
Since we can’t all go to Disneyland, this day we will enjoy some of the many movies Disney prepared for our viewing pleasure.
